How Ongig Works For Employers

What is Ongig?

Ongig is a new form of job posting. We believe that videos, pictures and people help bring a job posting to life...so we invented a way for employers to share such things. We call it “social/visual job postings.”

How do I create a video?

Ongig lets you create a video in one of three ways:

  1. Use an existing video file (under 3 minutes please) -- Just upload it from your hard drive.
  2. Record a simple video using Ongig’s own “record” button.
  3. Hire Ongig’s production team to come to your office to record a video.

How do job seekers get in touch with me?

Job candidates can communicate with you in one of two ways:

  1. They can ask a question publicly in the Comments section.
  2. They apply for your job by submitting their LinkedIn profile and an introductory note (which Ongig relays to you via email).

How much does it cost to post a social/visual job posting on Ongig?

Your first social/video job posting is free and any additional postings are $750 each. If you need help with recording and editing your video, Ongig has a production team you can hire Here.

What if I don’t like how my social/visual job posting looks?

You get to preview your social/video job posting before it goes live. And even after you’ve published your job posting, you can go back and edit it any time!

Why do you have a comments area?

A-player" job seekers tell us that employers sometimes forget vital pieces of information in their job postings (e.g. "Does the employer sponsor a work visa?" or "Is there any travel required?"). We provide the Comments area to help you answer such questions before the job seeker applies; that way, you and job seekers don’t waste each other’s time.

What images/pictures do I get to upload?

You can upload any image that represents you, your company and team. Examples include pictures of your work space, live events you’ve put on, screen-shots, work parties, other people on your team.
