What are the top requirements to qualify for this position?

We are seeking engineers with experience and passion in some of the following areas:

1. JavaScript
2. jQuery
3. Ruby on Rails
4. Memcahe
5. Backbone.js
6. Postgres
7. Java

Why is this position open?

The product concept is in place, so now it is time to scale the product.

Describe the current team this person will join, including the reporting structure.

10 engineers are on the team currently, and we will be going to roughly 40 by the end of 2012.

What percentage of the candidate's time will be spent on existing products/business, versus items that are new?

This position is predominately new work. You will take ownership over the product, and that may mean making some fixes to your work when necessary.

What challenges will this person face on a daily basis?

We see some opportunities to increase your skills in cloud computing, big data, etc. as we continue to serve our customers
